Elaine is a full-time book editor, and the inventor of Bestseller Metrics, a system that compares fresh manuscripts to the metrics of bestselling novels. She discovered this algorithm in 2016 and was discovered by Mr. Don Seitz of the Princeton (University) Entrepreneurship Council and CEO of Inkubate.com, a literary technology company.
Private clients seek Elaine’s help to develop manuscripts, acquire agents, and land publishing deals. Her recent client, M. Todd Henderson, a first-time novelist and law professor at the University of Chicago, received publisher-nominations for major mystery writing awards in 2018.
Speaker, Moderator and Workshop Leader
Elaine is in demand as a speaker with respected organizations such as West Coast Writers Conferences, Mystery Writers of America, Author Learning Center, California Writers Club, and Southern California Writers Association. She leads workshops, moderates conference panels, and delivers keynote speeches.
Early work as a child actor and touring lead singer developed her performance skills in front of live audiences and the camera. She later earned a degree in Radio & Television from Ryerson University in Canada. At the University of Toronto, she discovered public speaking and debating. Within three years she was ranked in the top ten university-level public speakers in the nation. This sparked a lifetime passion for freedom of speech and the freedom to write.
