Pierce’s Education and Professional Career
Pierce has a bachelor’s degree from Dickinson State University. He was a nationally ranked high school basketball player who went on scholarship to compete at the division I level in both the NCAA and NAIA. In May 2013, Pierce was one of two student speakers to address his commencement audience at Dickinson State University.
He began his working career in the sports and entertainment industries. After gaining experience in marketing roles, Pierce transitioned to the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry as a marketer for a startup beverage brand. As employee #12, he was on the core team managing field marketing campaigns and teams across the U.S. As a result, the brand became the fastest growing energy beverage, with distribution in large convenience and grocery store channels.
Pierce is currently the Director, National Field Marketing for one of the largest brands in an explosive new industry. As a department leader, he routinely gives presentations to his team and partners. Pierce credits the lessons of his basketball journey for his qualities in leadership, teamwork, and his management style in intensely competitive environments.
