Spreading an Empowering Message through Comedy
The show quickly gained popularity throughout the festival for it’s hilarious, light-hearted, and empowering message, and was awarded the top three festival awards, each award given to only one out of 300 shows: Top of the Fringe, Best Musical, and Best World Premiere. It has since been adapted into a nine-episode digital series akin to CW’s Golden Globe winner: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Emmy nominee: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Hulu’s body-positive newcomer: Shrill. Available online, soon.
Theresa Stroll is originally from Greenwich, CT. She moved to Los Angeles in 2013 with her then boyfriend, now husband, and MBFBM co-creator, Bobby McGlynn.
